The deployment ritual may be familiar, but it's still difficult. Here's a look at how one family reacts to hearing their loved one is leaving . . . again.

The WSJ investigates a rise in the post-2001 veteran unemployment rate. "I don't want to be deployed anymore, I did that for nine years" says one veteran, but "that's the only positions people want veterans for—is to go back to Afghanistan or Iraq."

So you support the troops? Really? Says one soldier: "What have you done to support the troops? What have you done other than complain? Have you written your representative? Have you asked the president to increase our pay, increase our benefits?"

Ignoring the problem: NPR covers a "hard-hitting" Army report showing that commanders have ignored major mental health issues in their troops. 

What happens to National Guardsmen after they get home? Members of the guard and reserve are more vulnerable to psychological issues after they return from war, in part because they don't have the same military support at home.
